18/06/2008 2:20:00 PM
CRITICS have called him ``the next best thing to Sinatra,'' and after singing for audiences in Canada and all over Australia, Tom Burlinson is now coming to Campbelltown's new entertainment centre - The Cube.
The Cube is part of the Campbelltown Catholic Club and will open on Saturday, July 5.
Other outstanding artists booked for The Cube's debut month include the Sydney band Thirsty Merc and acts from a show in the style of Cirque du Soleil.
This is the first time the club has sold tickets on the internet and they're going fast. The highest-selling show to date is Hi-5, who perform on Sunday, July 27, with former Campbelltonian Nathan Foley.
The Catholic Club's marketing, communications and entertainment executive manager, Graeme Derrig, says that people ``from Kirribilli to Cobargo'' have bought tickets to Tom Burlinson's show.
``Macarthur has come of age,'' Mr Derrig said. ``We no longer need to travel to Sydney to see world-class entertainment. The Cube offers international calibre artists.''
