I just have to say that this movie is still one of my favorites!! I am 34 years old and still light up like I did when I was little and watched it sitting on my Dad's lap. This movie has special meaning for me because it was one of my Dad & I's favorites. My dad passed away from brain cancer September of 2009. With the holidays upon us that isn't an easy thing to deal with... I came home tonight from being with family and sat down to watch some tv. I was flipping thru the channels and saw that The Man From Snowy River was on.... I was thrilled and it was exactly what I needed to end the day with a smile on my face and in my heart! I sat and watched and cried and smiled and cheered as he and his horse took on the brumbies and over the edge he goes after him!! Thank you for making this movie and for doing such an amazing job!!! I can appreciate these movies more so now than when I was younger, because I work in the industry as a production coordinator and manager on tv/film/commercial and I love what I do!!
This movie is such a precious dear movie and I hold it close to my heart!! I just wanted to say thank you to Tom and to let him know I am a fan for life! God bless and keep you!!
Thanks again! Deana Thompson-Elkington

I have loved this movie and Tom since I was young. My children watched it today for the 1st time as well as Return to Snowy River. It was great. I still cannot believe he was not a seasoned rider. It is amazing to see the steep rides down the hill and the amazing speed. It is such a one of a kind movie and has now become a favourite of my kids as well.

I wholeheartedly agree that the film is spectacular. I read that Tom learned to ride horses shortly before the filming, but I am curious to know if he developed a life-long interest in horseback riding. If so, is he still riding for pleasure to this day?

I am thoroughly impressed by this movie. I am 76 and movies have gotten to be the same, same ole. This one broke the mold. Someone please forward my thanks to the director. He did an excellent job. I especially liked the love scenes. They showed the love between the two. Very nicely done. I think I will go watch them again.

Sitting and watching The Man From Snowy River with my children for the first time since a young girl. I remember watching this in my cousins' log cabin in the Black Hills of South Dakota as a young girl and finding true delight in this movie. After we watched the show my cousins and I "saddled up" our wooden stick horses and took to The Hills to round up my Uncle's camp horses. This movie is still so pure, honest, and true. A family movie to span the generations. Thank you to you, Tom, and the entire crew on and off screen who produced a movie that still melts my heart and strikes a fire in my soul for God's handiwork, the horse, the land, and family. Best wishes~ Stephanie Berberich Cedar Rapids, Iowa

I have to be one of the oldest fans of Tom Burlinson and the Snowy River movies. I am 71 years young and still ride as often as I can. My horse is "Tango", a big bay gelding that is half Mustang and half Arabian. He has had some problems with foundering twice now but we always get him going back to being able to trail ride. Here in Utah there are plenty of trails to ride, too. My farrier told me even John Wayne had to have a block to stand on to get on his horse for his last movie. I have the same problem. Tango is 16 hands tall and I need a "step" up to get on him, too. I just want you to know that "Man from Snowy River" and "Return to Snowy River" are 2 of the best movies I have ever seen. Include Phar Lap in that "favorite" also. I sure would like to see more movies like these made and have the younger generation be able to see how wonderful horse and man can get along. They are just too involved with their electronics. As long as I can see (and it is still really good) I will be watching Snowy River and Return. Best movies ever made, especially for horse lovers. Keep up the good work and good luck in your many pursuits. The very best to you and yours. Karen S.

I must say, The Man From Snowy River and Return to Snowy River along with Phar Lap are my all-time favorite movies. Tom Burlinson is an amazing actor and I still think he's such eye candy. My first ever theatre movie my mother took me to, was to see The Man From Snowy River at a theatre on Pape/Danforth in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Burlinson shouldn't have been worried about being typecast. It takes extreme talent to create a great horse-themed movie, and for him to have only learned to ride a few weeks before filming is amazing. He made it look like he rode his whole life. I would love it if he did more of these types of movies. He's great at it. Look at John Wayne and Clint Eastwood with the westerns. Don't worry about what others think. Do what you love to do.

Not only is Man from Snowy River I and II among my favourite movies of all time, I need to add Phar lap, and The Cup to the list. Unbelievable actor, amazing singer and very worthy television presenter. Is there no end to Tom's talents? Just last night at Dubbo hummed along with Tom's Frank Sinatra show - it was brilliant and he is such a friendly fellow too!! Massive fan!!!
