Is it true that in the movie The Man From Snowy River, that Tom did his own stunts including jumping Denny(the horse) over that huge cliff?! That would scare me sooooo bad. not even eventing jumps are that steep and so far a drop down.

Yep Tom did the jump several times for the camera's to get various angles. On my website there are some articles and interviews Tom did at a time where he talked about that stunt and others in the Snowy films. These days you can do a horse trek with the Lovick family (they worked as trainers on the film, taught Tom to ride, acted as several of the mountain men, and supplied many of the horses including Denny) - they will take you to many of the locations used in the films, including the famous slope where the jump took place.

Thats pretty sweet. Im a fairly large fan of Tom. Unfortunatly The Man From Snowy River 1&2 are the only movies Ive ever seen of his. I was listening to some of his music from Frank.. He is a really good singer. He reminds me of the older men that you see on the television that ALL your parents know who he is and your clueless. He was pretty cool in his prime. Whoa that would be sooo cool to meet him or something. But.. I live WAY too far away for that. LOL But people are allowed to dream. LOL

Hope you dont mind Copper - I have changed your avatar as you were using the one that said "Webmistress" and thats reserved for me only - being the webmistress !!. If you dont like the one I chose for you just pop into the Forum Help & Guidelines, setting up profile thread - scroll down and select your choice, right click over the pic, choose "save image location", then in your profile section just paste the image location and viola - a new pic. I will create some more Tom avatars soon and upload them.
Do you have his Frank cd ? His voice is very good and I am glad you have had a chance to listen to it. he sung with a totally different style in his role of Leo in The Producers. I will never forget how funny he was in the role. Great use of his comedic talents - not to mention all the dancing and singing - no wonder he is so fit !!
Time to start saving for an Aussie holiday so you can see his Frank show me thinks !!!!

duh - silly me - the avatar process is much simpler than I listed above !!!
In your personal details just click on the down arrow next to Avatar - and the first 8 are all Tom related ones - just memorise the name of the avatar you like and select it !!!
