Smooth, sexy, funny and fresh, Tom Burlinson and the Sydney All Star Big Band invite you to take flight for a magical evening of song. Inspired by his childhood hero, Tom Burlinson takes a treasure chest of songs which became the soundtrack to the 1950s, 60s, 70s and beyond, and creates an unforgettable evening of blazing show-stoppers and melting ballads.
This year Frank – A Life in Song celebrates ten years of sell-out performances and rave reviews from audiences and critics around the world. For its tenth anniversary season, Frank comes to the Sydney Opera House for the first time.
There was a time when Australian actor and TV personality Tom Burlinson was best known as The Man from Snowy River. But then, in 1992, Tina Sinatra, daughter of 'Ol Blue Eyes himself, heard Tom sing his own Sinatra tribute, 'The Man in the Hat'. At that moment she knew she had found the voice to play her father. Tom's singing career was launched and in 1998 he created his own show.
Tom Burlinson may be the voice, but Frank is much more than a tribute. Frank, A life in song features stories, dancing and, of course, many of Sinatra's signature tunes – The Lady is a Tramp, Fly me to the Moon and the show-stopping, foot-stomping New York, New York – all backed by the outrageous talents of the 16 piece Sydney All Star Big Band.
Open your eyes and let the Tom Burlinson take you on a trip from the stage of the Sydney Opera House to New York, Hollywood, the moon and back.
