Karina, Did Tom recover all right from his surfing accident in January or February this year. I just read about it on the home page and was wondering. I wish I had known about it then! I send CRAZY get well cards! Hope he is up and about without any complications. Being 59 this June 9th, it is not as easy to recover when you are older, trust me on this. I consider myself to be in reasonably good shape for an oldster (I walk 2 hours a day, chase after my 4 grandchildren and climb steps regularly at work, don't smoke or drink)and when I had surgery this past March, I was still laid up for more than 3 weeks. I had this insane idea I would have the surgery on Wednesday, rest up over the weekend and go back to work on Monday. Nope, didn't happen! So I hope he is fine now!

As far as I know the leg healed well. He has been on stage in the Sinatra show all last month in Sydney so I hope so !!!!! He is a pretty fit guy. When I saw him in The Producers I was amazed at what a physical role it was. As one of the two leads - he sung and danced for the entire show. The actor playing Max was in his 60s and it amazed me how the two of them got thru the show 8 times a week !!!!!
Keep up with that walking !! My mum is 58 at christmas and walks 2 hours a day also - she lives in a country town and walks the entire outskirts of the town every night after dinner. It keeps her far fitter than me. I live in the inner city and dont drive - so my walking is basically too and from work each day - only about 15 minutes each way !!!! I walk slow in the morning (who is in a hurry to get TO work !!) but I do a power walk up hill on the way home.

Between walking to the bus and walking around my mobile home park every night, I do OK. I still need to loose some weight, my doctor isn't too happy with the weight I gained when I was ill last year. But I'm working on it. Have a family problem with high cholesterol so I have to be careful. I really wish I lived in Australia, any where in Australia so I could see Tom perform. I might just have to plan my vacation around one of his concert tours. His CD is terrific. I can't wait to get the DVD. My sons are looking for an all region DVD player for me for my birthday. Keep your fingers crossed!

oh fantastic - I hope they find you the all region player. Tho - when you get your new computer - if it has a dvd drive - I have been told you can play aussie dvds in the US dvd drives.
But whichever arrives first - you will be very happy with the DVD. And you will also be able to order the special aussie DVD release of the two Snowy movies with all the extras. Oooh and Phar Lap and The Time Guardian as well. All unavailable in the US at the moment.
Think of all that dvd viewing you will have to do - when not walking !!
I will make sure I keep you updated with his tour dates - so you can plan your holiday.

I missed your message about keeping me updated. Haven't been on line recently. I would really appreciate knowing his itinerary. I can't wait to get to Australia. The more I talk to Jim, the more excited he gets so we keep moving up the date. But I don't think it will be before Christmas this year because I still hve to save the money for the trip and it will be a lot for me to save. Most of my income goes to living expenses. But I'll make it hapen some how. Tom's singing is worth more than anything to me. I love his work!!! And he makes it sound like so much fun to do it! That's the mark of en entertainer and a STAR!!!

Unfortunately, didn't get the all region DVD player for my birthday but the boys are still trying. When they tell me they are going to do something for me, they usually manage to do it. Might take a little time, but they come through for me every time! I'll let you know. Oh, I'm on line so late because we had cake and ice cream and my grandchildren kept me busy playing for almost 2 hours before they left. They, of course, had to help grandma blow out all her candles. The smoke set the smoke detector off and we all had a big laugh over that!
